If there is violence in your heart then this is best dealt with at source. A man kills a swan.....people who love swans kill the man; how does that move us forward?

My apologies for incorrectly assigning the predictable quote about EE's to yourself. However I did not call BFW members "morons", I said that those who propose a disproportional violent response to the swan killing were as culpable as the perpetrator(s).
 
Racist Richard No, its just that we know that some of our Eastern European friends have history in these kind of acts.....How do we move forward? Well the courts need to come down hard on every criminal that comes up in front of them, no more soft mamby pamby judges!! Lets have some kind of proper deterrent please..

No need for apologies as no offence taken, these are open forums and I would not post my views if I were afraid of others giving thieir views even if in total contrast to mine !!!

It is the time of year when some get bored and boystrous ;)

Let us for a moment assume that for the very worst crimes we go back to hanging drawing and quartering, which I think you will agree is about as hideous a method of execution that has ever been. Do you think this would have prevented the terrible events below?

That may have been the best they could come up with then mate but to be fair, the wood chipper wasn't invented until the 1950s.
 
It's very true that prison is no deterrent, in fact criminals usually hone their skills inside.
 
I want to see stiffer penalties for all crimes big or small....

Right enough Dave...freedom of speech now seems to mean that you can be raided in the early hours by the police and arrested if you say something that someone, somewhere, for some obscure reason...finds offensive. I was wondering...if you complained to the police that this other persons accusation that you were being offensive....was offensive to you....could you then get them arrested as well :D

Or...perhaps we could pay Paul Mckenna loads of money to mass hypnotise certain groups into feeling that home is a very nice place to be :p
