Today I made a 5mtr landing net handle.

Hi men,

Today I got up at 5am went to work and after picking up Sue from work sat down at 6 pm , all the time wishing I was fishing .

And another 10 seconds replying.

Today is my day off, I am off to the tackle shop, having a whacking great dinner, then its off to see if any barbs want to play. Guess I shall head back from the banks when I have a had my fix...or fish! :)

I read my notebook to see where I fished in March in previous years as a pointer to where to go this afternoon; none the wiser as I usually blanked.

With my better half 8 month pregnant and almost ready, if she gives me the nod to go, I go. Last night was cold and damp, I waited 12 hours for my first bite, a well proportioned Barbeland defo worth the wait. Just the one sentence. Great to be out whatever the time as long as I am comfortable, enjoying the views, the dark, the noises, even better when your chosen quarry makes an appearance and having mans best friend at your side keeping guard.
Summer can be hectic and draining, I prefer the winter/spring when you can just chill out and really enjoy the fishing.

A war of attrition, will the river beat me into submission before i beat it into submission LOL

The end of this season will mark two whole seasons, not to bothering to fish the once Great River Ouse.
