sturgeon pellets

The thing with this general food profile is that the interesting part ie the oils & especially the protein does not detail individual constituents like the amino profile nor omega's etc. It's a pity they do not otherwise the peak constituents could be identified & used in isolation or in combination with other ingredients. Otherwise, its a general balanced profile but could be lacking in key areas yet unknown.

Other points of interest are other qualities such as coarseness, taste, buoyancy, colour etc that could be used to either individual or combined effect.

One could approach the company & request the exact profile/data. Most will not & a (very) few do. Laterally, one could try to see other similar food profiles on the net & hazard a best guest.

Cheers, Jon

Are they cheap or something?

If so, my suggestion would be to stick with what you already know works.

If you want something a bit different, try adding various glugs and flavours or oils to the normal pellets you use. Some of the carp lads swear by hemp oil. Another one is oyster sauce from the supermarket but there are loads to try if you're that way inclined. You don't have to do a 25kg bag, just a little pot and use them as hookers. In my humble opinion, the standard elips or halibut pellets take some beating and it's just a case of presenting them in a way that the fish are happy with.

My concern would be that if they are cheap, then people will use EVEN MORE than they do at present. This may have Ray going into a terminal meltdown of even more epic proportions?

All the best,

Jeff

?

But are you getting Halibut pellets ? or are they sand eel check the colour of the pellets at different times of the year !

Sorted! The sarcasm is a result of these guys having 'been around the block a few times' and them 'having a bit of fun'.

Going around the block a little too fast - and hitting the dizzy heights of self-proclaimed witticism. Is there a fun fair this weekend? :)

You're not suggesting that halibut pellets should actually contain halibut are you Mark?

Now that would be funny as there is a bloke on ebay selling Barbel pellets, I bet the old Barbel police would be most aggrieved!
