Still cant decide on which rod

Rob Francis

I still havent made my mind up about which rod to go for so I am asking for a bit more advice if you have time guys?
I cant find a Beastmaster Power anywhere so will probably go for one of the following, all are about the same price.
Korum Twin Tip (original version)
Daiwa Theory
Greys Prodigy Barbel (original one found new)
The Korum is probably the most versatile but does one stand out for any reason, or is there anything better for around the £100 mark?
It will be paired with a Baitrunner 4000DL that I have just bought.
Thanks in advance,
Rob.

Korum twin tip mate ive gat a pair and they ate a good rod and for the price you cant go wrong.

For a few quid more you could pick up a Freespirit Barbeltamer................. superb rods

I own the original Korum twin tip, Shimano Beastmaster Power, and the Daiwa Theory. I prefer the Daiwa, much lighter and just as powerful. Only draw back is the second top is a quiver, which is great for chub fishing etc, however the Korum can double as a flood water rod with its 2.2lb top...

rod

have a look on fishing republics site there barbel master and the barbel tamber are spot on for the money the tamber i think is the heavier of the two i think ,you wont be dissapointed!

Had the korum twin tip never used it but it did look a very nice rod, however picke up a fox Kevlar just after and it got made redundant. The originals were much nicer than the newer ones they brought out.

iv got the older beastmaster and if i could get another i wouldnt hesitate been trying for a year lol.
whisker barbels are good mate but so are the theorys mate. il have a ook at what weve got in at work and let you know my opinion if you want mate?
regards

Thanks for the replys guys, much appreciated.
I'll have to make my mind up soon but would really love to find one of the Beastmaster Concept's.
Thanks Wayn, anything stand out?
Cheers,
Rob.

Following on from this and my original thread asking about rods, someone local to me is selling a Greys X Lite Barbel (1.5/1.7) and a Drennan Barbel (1.75/2.00) so I might take a look.
I do like the Drennan as I had one a few years ago but am not sure if the Greys is any good?
Cheers,
Rob.

I use the shimano vengeance barbel classic, paired with shimano 5000 baitrunners, IMO, is s*#t hot for the money, enough backbone and excellent play action from tip to but, to land a 28lb carp. As proven.

had a look wt the fox duo lite fx barbel rod mate. take a look feels brilliant pal
