I don't know what happened to him Brendon . Since Coarse angling today finished I've not heard of him but I am not on social media . Perhaps others will fill us in . Certainly a character

I used to like Tony miles articles…mainly the ones of him fishing the Ouse as it was the same stretches I fished. I remember one close season many many yrs ago I followed his advice about doing your pre season leg work spitting fish, finding likely areas and prebaiting; I was feeling really confident and proud I’d made the effort ….and then suddenly saw some bloke walking mid-river with a prodding stick mapping the river in person!!! Yes it was Tony miles. He walked the whole 2 mile stretch doing this, really took it to the next level!

I've fished with Stef quite a few times in he past and his regular fishing partner Rob is good mate of mine. He's still getting out on the bank. His river fishing has been mainly the Trent in recent years, and he still catches more than most.

Bit of a rum bugger Stef Horak and used to enjoy his writings in CAT (the last great fishing mag available at the news agents). Surprised he got away with writing some of it, including once doing something very rude with a sock, and after a curry, tiling a very small room, which was fitted with a smoke alarm. His guts were so bad that he set the smoke alarm off!

Paid £5.50 a pint during the spring. Don't know how that compares with everywhere else.
