Either will do but the wide drum deluxe is my favourite. This model has a 3 level ratchet so can cope with heavy flows.

wide drum for legering, narrow for trotting. i never use anything else!

Wide drum, and, in my HO, you are purchasing the best barbel reel going if you get a wide drum speedia
