SORTED! 11’ Torrix 1.75

Alan Rose

Senior Member & Supporter
Hi all,

Looking for an 11’ Torrix 1.75 for small(er) river barbel fishing and/or rolling meat. Not fussy about fittings. Been doing my homework and think one of these would best suit my fishing contexts.

Would be grateful for a PM if you think you have one you’d part with 👍🏻

Hi Alan
There are 2 that I have seen on marketplace ( Facebook)
One one them I had many years ago.
Built by Mark Tunley and ideal for rolling meat.
Seller is in Portsmouth and priced at £175.
Beautiful rod that I regret selling.

Thanks Kevin, I’d be willing to travel for a good one, but that’s a 450 mile round trip 😬

I have 2 beautiful peregrines , both 1.75 Alan. The 111' has a 4oz spliced quiver and the 12 titanium. Cost a lot and we are 200 miles apart. I don't use them and sadly due to age ( mine ) unlikely to again really. Just sentimental value to keep I suppose. But if either rows your boat, pm me. Alec

Very kind of you Alec, and although they sound great, I’m not quite reaching for the oars 😉

Enjoy the search. That's half the fun I feel, seeing what's out there! Enjoy. I always have a list of one or two which I still seek, for no other reason than that's what I want. Wants are much more fun to persue that needs. When the list is blank , it will be because I am too. Ha.

Been drooling over that rod Kevin. Oh for a Delorean and a crazy physicist! Or just anyone from Pompey making a trip up north!!

Thanks guys, if a used one isn’t forthcoming that’s a decent option at a good price 👍🏻
I got one off here a month or so ago and it was a JR build - quality is excellent
Christian is right- the rings seem to be a whole size bigger than on a 1.75 chimera but I don’t mind them -personal taste I guess

Was that the one that Robert Morgan was selling? It was a month too early for me (or I was a month late!!)
