Hi all, im after a bit of advice on areas free preferably and day tickets around the welwyn garden city area. Im working all around this area and thinking of staying up this way and doing a few overnighters instead of heading back home and back again....
Would rather rivers than lakes but would be interested to hear about any thing really.
I have looked at a few spots of the lea that i cross but you could walk across without getting your socks wet and not sure if owned by any clubs etc....

Please PM if prefered, im not in any way after any swims or great spots just somewhere to spend an evening or night to save a double journey.

Many thanks.

Andy.

Stanborough lakes at Welwyn garden ,lots of carp and bream, not sure if day ticket though.

river Lea around Wheathampstead crawling with barbell but think no tickets
main bit is Membership to Verulam angling.

Ps Welwyn Garden city angling club control Stanborough lakes and have the Lea also at stanborough ,
