Okay…
Decided to part with this pair of superb float rods. They are both 3-piece and thirteen feet long. Both in excellent condition. Neither has its original bag. Both with thirteen very nice high stand-off guides.
Some more detail…
Reactorlite Match 1
This one is rated to 6lb line and weighs 159g on my scales. The Maver blurb when they were released made a big deal about the fact that the blanks just do not lock up- apparently the Match 1 could deadlift 1kg off the deck! I’ve tried it with a bag of pellets that wasn’t quite that heavy and it’s incredible what it will do. I read a user review of one of these that claimed it stopped a mid-double carp in its tracks, so it’s no fairy despite its light weight.
Reactorlite Match 2
Basically like the Match 1 but more of it! Rated to 8lb line and weighs 179g. This rod was said to be able to deadlift 2kg, and although I haven’t tried it, I wouldn’t be surprised if it could. What it has done is extracted a 7lb barbel that was foul-hooked in a pectoral from a snag in a fast flowing river! It’s got some serious power and keeps daring you to use more of it.
These rods could more or less cover all your float requirements- light trotting to heavy wagglers or bolos. Roach and dace to carp and barbel. They’ll do it all.
I look after my stuff and these have been cleaned after every session and stored well when not in use.

PM me if you’re interested or have questions. Some photos below- the “action” shot is the Match 2 attached to our chimnea!
