Lovely Simpsons rod, I've used it for chub a few times over the years, had barbel up to 7lb on it & it's been up to the job. Test curve just about 1.25lb as far as I recall, threaded tip - I have swapped from float to leger with it as well. Action is well down the lower section when under pressure. A very few marks in the varnish from use, duplon is very good.
Just won't be using it these days.
I am unsure of value & it seems I was way out on another rod recently - £75 would be Ok I trust.
I would prefer collection from Ripon North Yorks - I can't find courier prices under £29 so would be willing to send in a strong card tube with UPS for their shipping price at around that figure. If interested please let me know, Julian.
