Hi All, anyone wanting rid of their Shimano Bum Buddy? Zip's gone on mine so looking to replace.

Can,t remember the blokes name. But there was someone, asking on a forum ( not sure if it was BFW ) for input to make a similar product. He had the means and the know how. Many members proposed ideas, and a final design and cost were virtually set. But then, as if by magic, the thread mysteriously vanished :confused: Was i dreaming ? Or can anyone else recall this ? Please tell me i'm not going mad. :D
 
You're not going mad...I believe it was Martyn Lloyd. Was actually speaking to him earlier today on the banks but forgot to mention it. Anyways, I got zip repaired at cobblers.
Sure there WOULD be a market, for a good one (bigger pockets, shaped seat etc)

Terry, I always thought the Efgeeco Pakaseat was a masterpiece of design, even if the screws that held it together were poor. I would have thought an improved version of that would sell well too.

I agree David, I loved mine. I actually put back-straps on it which made it even better. Gave it away before moving house...big mistake in retrospect.
 
Thats was me Derek! Yeah, the idea was mooted, we even got test ones in (still use mine) but costing was the nail in the coffin. We couldn`t get them produced at a cost that would allow the necessary margins to be added without them becoming prohibitively expensive.
