Shimano baitrunner oil

Hey all, can anybody recommend a good lubricant for my baitrunners please?

Dont be tempted to over fill the main body with grease, like I did. 3 in 1, is fine.

3 in 1 has too high a viscosity for me. I use a light cycle oil on my reels.

Yes. Do not use too much.

I use hydraulic oil in mine very sparingly and a little grease on the gear trains.
Keep wet lubricants away from drag washers

I think I am on Crisp and Dry at the moment Chris.
But really 2 small drops is plenty.

Mate of mine used to lubricate his Shimano’s regularly. One of his reels started to get very stiff so he sent it to Velindre for servicing and the report back was that it was over lubricated! Not sure how that happens and I do not know what lubricant he used, just a heads up Lads, don’t over do it

I use Penn oil. You only need one drop, not regularly.
