Shimano 4000d

I like shimano.
Before I (stock permitting) purchase a 4000d can anyone sway me to an alternative. Its to pair up with a chimera no2.

Save a few bob and look at the 4000 oc . Use mine with a Freespirit barbel seeker 1.75. Great match.

Have to agree with Graham, the OC's just as good and spare spools are only about £15. Less flashy too.

The only alternative I can think of is 4000 OC.

Daiwa GS5000 Br would be a different alternative as it’s certainly as good as a D
Same size, very good quality reel, very similar looks yet a little cheaper to buy.
Nothing wrong with 4000D’s mind. Mine banked some absolute belters over the years before I swapped over to some older Japanese Daiwas
