The Barbel Specialist Group is having a fish-in on the Wye in September. The event is undersubscribed so the remaining places are being opened to BFW members.
This event is being held at the Red Lion Hotel, Bredwardine, Herefordshire, HR3 6BU on the weekend 17th to 19th September.
The weekend involves – arrival on the Friday (you may fish as soon as you get there), with a get together in the bar in the evening. Saturday breakfast – fish all day – see you in the bar. Sunday breakfast – fish and depart when you are fished out.
The cost is £80. All you have to do is buy your evening meals and any liquid refreshment.
Most of the rooms are doubles so book with a friend. There are a couple of treble rooms, check with Mike Taylor (info@redlion-hotel.com Tel 01981500303), the hotel owner.
This a great stretch of the River Wye and September is always productive. We will have nearly five miles of river at our disposal and I'll be on hand to share my knowledge of the river if required.
