Rods

A second hand Dorwia Powermesh, or any second hand rod of good provenance. I just happen to have a Ron Thompson Clarissa 1.75TC, one of the finest blanks that have ever been made that could be prised from my grasp for that sort of money. Alternatively you can pick up Shimano Hyperloops cheaply or even Greys rods which are sneered at these days. Quite frankly, pretty well any 1.75 rod will do the job. Depends on how important the parabolic playing action is, the colour of the whippings and the custom fittings which play a large part in determining the price of a rod.
