I have some quality rods for sale:

Free Spirit Barbel Seeker 11ft 1.75 TC - Excellent condition - full cork handle - £170 (no longer for sale)

Free Spirit Big River Barbel 12ft Excellent condition - full cork handle (sealed with varnish) - £170

Harrison Torrix 11ft 2lb TC - Excellent condition - full cork handle - grey matt finish blank with burgundy and gold tipped whippings - Custom Built by Ian Tucker of Custom Fishing Rods - £170 ( no longer for sale)

Drennan Martin Bowler Specialist Barbel 12ft 1.75TC - excellent condition £110

Drennan Super Specialist 12 ft 1.25 TC - good condition, well used, original NOT later Duo version - £70

2 x Korum Precision Power Float 13ft 4-piece - excellent condition - £70 each ( 1 rod sold)

For info - these Korum rods are the best barbel float rod I have ever used and I got rid of a Drennan Tench float IV and a Diawa 14ft Tournament Power ( as recommended by Dave Harrell) because they were not as good IMHO. I have a third one that I am definitely keeping.

The sale price is for collection only from Wakefield WF3.

I am prepared to consider delivery for an agreed price on request and will be in the MI corridor between Leeds and London and then down to Dorset in the last 2 weeks of August.

As a last resort I will also post via UPS in heavy duty cardboard tube (carpet roll inner ) for £20 per delivery.

No rod bags available for any of the rods.

I’ve got a pair of those big rivers custom built and they are exceptionally good. Built on the seeker blanks.
Bargain at 170. They are 300 new
 
In my defence I may be selling a rod with a varnished cork handle but I didn't do the varnishing and never would.

I have investigated and it is possible to sand it off and apparently deet mosquito repellent does a very good job of removing varnish -not tried either of these methods myself.

I have decided to leave it to the new owner to either live with (even love?) the varnish or remove it.
