Rods for droppering

Dragon carp telescopic carp rod, £10. Take it on holiday, catch mackerel, use as heavy float rod, light beach rod, and chucking 50 gram plus wedges ( feathers above wedge if you want). Looks naff, but £10 of great fun. If how it looks worries you just make sure no one is looking when you are droppering, that a word?
Do we really need a specialised tool for every thing we do in angling. I have a friend who has just come back to angling. With his old float rod, a new ledger/feeder rod, and his 2 old Mitchell Match reels he is emptying the Sussex Ouse. Oh and he only takes a pint of maggots and a bit of hemp with him.

Thats the bugger that been on my local stretch of the Teme:mad:

Pretty much with you on this one Chris.
Don't drive or earn a big wage, which can be a disadvantage for an angler. However it does help focus the mind on what I really need to take with me catch fish, and I don't spend a lot of time agonising as to whether I have all the tools and the the best tools for the job.

However I don't object to the 'Which' threads as people are considering spending what I think is a lot of dosh, but is there really the ultimate weapon for swinging a bait dropper out?
Get the telescopic carp rod and sneak it in the boot ( in my case the wife's boot) when you you go to the seaside.
