Rod ID...

So as a nipper, 20 years back, my dad bought a load of 2nd hand tackle for me, among which was a 10ft Barbel rod, which i used exclusively for years, and have very fond memories of it.

It then got put to the back of the garage and consigned to retirement as i looked for shiner, newer toys etc...

Anyway, its recently surfaced from my old boys garage and i'm curious about its origins, so a few pics below...

The name Martin James comes to mind. I had a heavy duty float rod in the same colour blank and the same union Jack logo.
The guild of master craftsmen is a bit of a scam really. Pay them a few quid and you can use the logo. Zero investigation into quality.
