Rod found in skip…any idea what it is??

Found this rod in a skip a while back and wondered if any of you guys had an idea on manufacturer? I forgot to take photos of the top end but can get those if needed. It’s a 2 piece and roughly 12ft and no markings apart from the 1.75lb and it’s a dark green colour. The rod rings seem to be metal rather than a ceramic material.

Maybe a kit rod built on a Sportex blank? They were often dark green in colour.

The faint x wrap in that dark gloss green
U hook keeper and small black decorative whipping 8 inch above the keeper is a dead ringer for the Fox duo lite mk11 blanks.
Looks identical.

My guess would be someone has paid to have a duo lite 12ft 1.75 rebuilt

Thanks for the replies guys. I’ll get some pics of the rings tomorrow. It definitely looks like it’s had a refurb as the tip is painted white…you’ll see what I mean when I send the pics tomorrow.

The green is more of a matt finish than the duo lite pictures above. Sorry about the dodgy pics of the rings

Probably the finish has been matted off
Those grey/silver guides are definitely the same as the ones Fox used too.
My money is definitely on a re built duo lite

Thanks again Richard. It appears to be quite whippy in comparison to my 1.5tc rod but I suppose all manufacturers are different.

That’s why I always refer to them as “guides”.
