They look more like objet d'art than tools that one would actually use. Beautiful but...
On the contrary he has built me two very servicable rods and done a lot of rebuild and repair jobs for me. He is a gifted craftsman but obviously exhibits his most eye catching work on his website. They look more like objet d'art than tools that one would actually use. Beautiful but...
Thanks Martin, and I'm 100% sure you're right re. exhibiting most eye catching examples of work. Well thanks lads, enough for me to be getting on with (got to yet decide exactly what I want, and what exactly I want it for i.e. to do). BTW. Tom/Steve.... yeah, I've heard great things about Mark Tunley's work.On the contrary he has built me two very servicable rods and done a lot of rebuild and repair jobs for me. Another vote for Dave Lumb - sensible pricing and easy to deal withDave Lumb - I've got several specialist rods he has built and I've always been more than happy with his work. He also done quite a few rod repairs and alterations for me for very reasonable rates. He's probably not the man to go to if you want something bling, but for something a practical and understated rod he is your man.
