Rod bargains

Not sure how good they are but if you're only occasionally fishing the big rivers then the 2.75lb/13ft at £45 must be a bargain. Free postage as well.

Sub £50 off the shelf barbel rods not going down well on here. The same rods with a Freespirit logo well...😉 Probably shouldn't worry too much about action if you are lobbing 8 ounce leads anyway. The cheap Korum rods are great value and well finished would not be disappointed.

I imagine they would be handy for tench anglers looking for a rod to cast out heavier method feeders 40-yards plus. At that price you wouldn't worry about seriously abusing them.

£70 for a Greys TXL Specimen.

Very decent rod for that price.

I can vouch for the fact that these do exactly what they were designed for. Sure they’re not the nicest looking, they’re a little heavy but the big rings don’t snag up when rubbish is coming down a flooded river and the tips are soft enough to cushion under the tip lunges whilst casting a lot of weight. Quite honestly I don’t know how they’ve done it.

I can say for certain that so long as you understand the purpose of the rods they will. I have a pair of them, a pair of original power mesh specialist and a pair of freespirit barbel seekers. all different, all do different jobs and all in their own way good at what they do. you just have to use the right tools at the right time.

Blimey  I didn,t realise fish could tell the differece. 🤣

Yes, very good , appreciate the humour and yes you're right the fish will not notice the difference. However the right tool for the job will make it easier to get it done which is surely the object of it?
