They allow Caravans at A1 pits. Don't think they have any facilities though.

Yes that's true, on the left as you come in. But only toilets, no shower or water or rubbish bins. If I was going in my Caravan, I'd use the Caravan's toilet. Having said that, it wouldn't be my first choice to take a Caravan anyway, although you do see them.

Local councils are beginning to tighten up on places where people stay overnight and not just while covid restrictions apply. Anywhere that camping is allowed for 42 days in a row needs to be licensed by the local authority. The terms of the licence are likely to include the provision of services. I have heard of one venue where the owner has had to ban motorhomes on the river bank for this reason.
