River Teme

Hello all,

Has anyone had any luck on the river teme since the opening of the season? Being new to Worcester it's now on my door step. I've been for a couple of hours to Broadwas today on the Baa but not a touch.

We have to accept barbel numbers on the river Teme are no where near what they were, I truly believe that there is little natrual recruitment in the Teme as Cattie Guttman Roberts proved, the barbel in the Teme now are just tourists from the lower Severn and ultimately get eaten by predators, these days the Teme barbel population is not sustainable as it was, just remember a barbel of 12lb may have taken 15 years to get to that weight in the Teme, but only takes 5 minutes to kill and is lose it forever.
