River state collingham weir

Evening all, travling up to collingham weir next week. And was wondering what the colour and pace of the water is like as we have had a little rain. Anyone been up there last few days who can let me know that would be great.

I was there the other day. Low and clear. 4oz lead holding well on a long chuck. What pegs are you on??

Hi Jon not sure what pegs as we are just fishing for the day. iv been told 49 to 60 is meant to be a good spot iv been told there is a long channel 2 rods length out. first time barbel fishing so just trying to get the low down before we go.

I know the pegs as good as you can get anywhere tbh. Maggot feeder and meat been catching. We aren't expecting much rain and the tides are pretty low too.. so don't expect a needful.. but fish into dark.

Thank you Jon. I friend of mine said maggots if clear and feeder and boliles if coloured. I'd be happy just to catch a barbel but afew would be fantastic. Thanks for advice I'm counting down the days.
