River Dove advice

David Traynor

Senior Member
I've just joined Warrington AA and they have a stretch on the river dove called Draycott mill, I was wondering if anyone has any knowledge/advice about this stretch of the river.

Thanks Dave

Hi Dave

Check the Dove in "reports" and ask for some feedback there.

I fish the Dove at Sudbury, there are not large heads of fish but they are worth seeking out, some clonking Chub as well.

I had a very popular stretch to myself last night, I never saw a soul, most unusual, I even phoned the wife to double check I had not got the dates wrong.
Still blanked though; apart from one bite which stayed on for a few seconds and then pinged off, the hook broke on the bend, that one will be under the glass later to see if it was a manufacturing fault.
