Please does anyone know who owns the fishing rights to the River Dane near Davenham after the A556 and towards Middlewich.

Hi Neil probably best posting this in the river reports area. Northwich anglers have rights to one or more banks on this section. Details are on their website. Stephen

Northwich Anglers control from the town centre, where it joins the Weaver upstream to Davenham. Upstream limit is the field above Shipbrook Lane where it crosses the Dane (thats 2 fields above the A556 weir).

They have fishing at Bostock too, but parking and access is virtually nonexistent on this bit.

Moving up through the Bostock Estate, upto Croxton Lane, Middlewich, Lymm have the lefthand bank (PAAS gave it up last year) and Winsford Anglers have the opposite bank.

Most of it is unfishable and Barbel are now a rare beast on the Dane.
