Reflections

Highs for me catching 2 Salmon in the last two weeks on Barbel gear, pb Chub of 5.14 and pb Barbel 11.01 from the Wye. Lows none.

My season hss been brilliant breaking 4 pbs Barbel twice 11.11 and 12.00 also a pb pike and bream but one of my main highlights was catching my first trent carp and the way it happend was second to none actually stalking the fish and watching it feeding was something else i then saw it takecmy hookbait twice and spit it out before walloping it in and tearing off.......amazing!!!!
Tight lines

Been quite a sparsely populated season with barbel for me. Numbering just one, barbel have been almost impossible to come by, and not for trying I can say.
I find, though it's very nice to have your string pulled, I've not been propotionately disappointed with such a low catch rate, quite the opposite in fact.
The sight of every kingfisher, my first experience of an otter in the evening, every dace (some really quite sizeable), roach and chub has been nothing but enjoyment.
