Ok and now it’s slipping I’m guessing?
I don’t know a lot about okuma reels but yes I have fixed this problem before with other reels
In most cases it’s usually after a service where these AR bearings slip and cause problems because people think as a bearing it needs lubricant and naturally they oil it.

It wants to be super dry and super clean, the tiniest foreign body or bit of grease or oil in that bearing enclosure can stop it from locking up.

Thanks Richard, this concurs with some other opinions on another forum. I'll give it a strip down and clean but I've ordered another bearing before finding out it may just need a clean!
