Record Stickleback

In Wednesday's Metro, a free newspaper for London rail travellers, there is a small article about a monster stickleback which was caught from an undisclosed river on a tiny piece of worm; the amazing fish was 2.9 inches long and weighed 12g (about half an ounce)- 3g more than a three-spined stickle that the angler landed last year.

A claim for the record has been submitted to the British Record Fish Committee.

Wonderful stuff!

Its a known fish, possibly the same one that took the record last season pity the news has got out, the circus will descend on the water, I pity the regulars on there.

The Specimen Stickleback Society will ensure that this amazing fish is not chased into oblivion!

weighing in at a 10.6 grams before he threw it back into the water alive and well
Why do the non angling public always think we 'Throw' fish back...lol

Amazing that someone fishing out of season, or anybody come to that, would be carrying scales accurate to a tenth of a gram???
