Recommendations for a spoon style landing net

Family are enquiring what i want from santa this year....been told Two weeks with Megan Fox in a 5 star hotel not possible:( so will have to settle for the usual assortment of shaving products & underwear. However after much diliberation i have concluded that i could do with a spoon/round landing net...preferably with a deep mesh but most importantly, robust. So any advice/recommendations chaps?

Kind Regards
andy

I have the gardener one round net and is serving me well so far (2 seasons). Spreader block is holding good which several nets have let me down on before.

I'll second that; just change the original screws that fix the net to the block, as they do not seem up to the job. Otherwise, perfick. :)

Leslies insight wanderer, had mine 5 years now. Some may say too exspensive. But one thing I can promise you is you won't have to buy another net for a long time.Unless you loose it of course.

I have been using the wychwood barbel/pike net this season and really like it,the net is nice and deep and the over fit block has so far given me no trouble.

Thanks for your suggestions lads. Unfortunately santa has been a victim of the recession & has a limited budget so the insight landing net will probably not be found in my stocking on christmas morning. Will pay a visit to my local tackle shop this afternoon to check out the other two products.

Kind Regards
Andy

Another vote for the Gardner spoon, just watch those screws.
I do wish that Drennan would do a bigger version of their (Super) Specialist net, it's excellent but only available in sizes up to 22".

Funny you should say that Chris, i feel the same way. Be nice slightly bigger with a slightly deeper net. ;)

Gardener Pan for me - change the screws and its great. Only problem for me is that it is attracted to every single tree branch, bramble and bush that I walk past...
