Charlie Bettell, Pike Angler Author and Guide died 26th May 2010 after a long illness.

Rest in peace Charlie.
 
Blimey I didn't even know he was ill. I first met him when he joined the pike syndicate at Weirwood Reservoir, nice guy. What he didn't know about pike lures wasn't worth knowing.

I have a very good book written by him on lures, the man was a genius.

Shame.
 
That's a real shock. He wasn't very old was he? What a shame; a great lure angler.
 
I went out on the broads with Charlie a couple of times with my dad. A real character, so much knowledge and skill.

the pike won't miss him thats for sure rip
