Polarising Prescription Sunglasses

Probably John. But it is a geographical fact that my local hospital is but 10 miles from an international airport.
I believe steps are being made to build a new hospital nearer the airport which may help some. However that has been in the talking/planning stage I hear for around 5-10 years so it is most unlikely I will be around for the topping out ceremony..
Currently however waiting lists are extremely long.
 
I purchased the peek wand yesterday. Used it once then and again this morning.
It is like a small electric tooth brush. It heats an element in the end . Moved along each eye from nose to outer it feels like a warm spoon being applied. Early days, will report further in a few days.
 
I have been using the wand for a week now. It has several settings but for my condition 37 and 38 deg is recommended. It heats the head and vibrates. Then its drawn gently across the closed eye lids nose outwards. Yes, very pleased so far. For reasons beyond my control other courses can't start for another 3 weeks. Hopeful, if progress continues, they may not be neccessary. Further report next week.
 
Just for info: not sure if this is a country wide ‘law’ but where i work you are supplied PPE (personal protective equipment) boots, gloves & safety specs etc. There is a scheme whereby you can order prescription safety specs (not widely offered as it costs the company but it’s available if you ask!) you go to a local Opticians, pick what you want & claim the money back. Obviously, if you explain to the Optician that your job role requires certain ‘extras’ they will accommodate you (as long as they get paid, they are happy!)
Again not 100% sure if it’s a government, country wide thing, the union or just where i work but worth enquiring if you work at a 1/2 decent company. Don’t ask, you don’t get!
Start off with the union or a decent safety rep rather than a tight arsed boss and you might be surprised 👍

I also suffer with the dreaded dry eye but here's what makes it easier for me. I use a microwaveable wheat bag. A minute on full in the microwave then lie down on the sofa with the bag over both eyes for a few minutes. I still use my optix cormorants but have my prescription glasses made a bit smaller so they just fit underneath. Hope that helps.
