Please do not pre-bait

Stuart - glad to hear your keenness. Confidence will grow with familiarity which is time on the bank. Plenty of quality info here (Ian's recent inputs), especially in the archives spanning the last decade. Just keep light footed & a simple approach - you'll be grand!

Cheers, Jon

I did quite well last season ( quantity wise) but the doubles eluded me !!
The season before I had 3 doubles (just!) and the only other time I went Barbel fishing (when my mate took me 3 years ago) I had never seen a pellet, hair rig or feeder before (been out of the angling game for lots of years!!) ....to cut a long story short...and much to my mate's dismay, as he had been a barbel fisherman for years, I managed to catch an 11lb 4 oz !!!! Still my PB !!!! Beginners Luck !!!!!:):):):)
