guys be careful about referring to tescos re. horsemeat in products,
one firm thats clean of the scandal is tescos, all their fresh meat carries an individual animal passport of ID proving parentage ect ect., they will sue if they are accused!
 
Dave when i served my time learning my trade i spent 12 months working in a private butchers reknowned throughout the trade and was owned and run by the president of the smithfeild meat institute at the time, beleive me if anything was put in the curing pots for savaloys (hot dogs) that wasnt right
that machineman woulda been after ya with a bloody big meat hook, jimmy wasnt a man to have his products messed up, the jellied veal was greatly sought after by the customers and their home smoked prducts superb as was his luncheon meat, working for Len was a marked acheivement in my training as a butcher:)
