how do you lads use this??. as it comes straight from the sack or do you miit with other things like hemp??
The reason I ask is because I'm in a really low paid job at the moment and need to eak the money out as far as possible and with PC only being half the price of Hemp was kind of hopong it wouldn't be to far off to use it on its own.
What do you think??. Any other tips to make my wages go further would be helpful too. Fishing wise I mean.
Thanks for any help.

Hi men,

Use it as it is , no need to add anything unless you want to . Grab some hemp oil from tesco , and give the seeds a glug of it once its cooling down . Any of the peperami range of sausage fished pellet shaped with the skin scraped off over the top will see you a few bites . For a dip , pot of marmite , awesome profile , cheap . Pellet hook baits are cheap , and a bag of pellets ground up and added to a cheaper bag of general use ground bait is good for squeezing round a lead or in a feeder . Add a handful of the wet seed to the ground bait until it binds , and mould that round the lead , this is good for lowering into a swim .

I leave mine to ferment for a week or so ,then boil it up for 30 minutes or so , bamfords topflight is one of the best, just add chilli powder and salt. yum yum

My top money saving tip would be to forget the pigeon conditioner, hemp and all that, don't feed them anything! A single bait in the right spot will catch summer or winter, the trick is to find those spots. By adopting a roving approach and moving every 15 to 20 minutes you will soon find where they like to spend there time rather than baiting a spot and waiting for them to come to you. The downside is you'll rarely get more than one or two from each spot as without loosefeed there is nothing to hold them there so it's best to move on to find the next group of fish. This tactic will work on rivers large and small and makes a pleasant change if you are used to sitting behind two rods in the same spot for hours on end. There must be hundreds of baits in a bag of boilies and if you catch a barbel on every one in the bag you'll have had a good season. We're that tight up 'ere we'll take half a dozen on the same boilie before we think about changing it. ;)

depends what river your on , the single bait and find the fish is fine for clear southern waters , I put the amount I want in a bucket and cover with 3inch of boiling water and put lid on and check it the following day and if necessary top up and then leave for 3 or 4 days , no need to boil and it stays usuable for 2 or 3 weeks minimum , even when it starts to hum and a white froth forms as the sugars break down its perfect

I use the bamfords stuff quite a lot and mix it 50/50 with hemp for float fishing. 3kg bags are just over £3, put it in a bucket cover with boiling water and leave for at least 24hrs, boil for 15-20mins, back in bucket and leave to ferment. A very underated (IMO) attractor for barbel, keeps them grubbing around for a long time and you can actually use the biggest (green) seeds as hookbait ! The plus point for the fish is that it is a healthy food source and the fish recognise this.

Have had barbel coming up in the water gobbing it as it hits the surface on a few occasions when fed right ;)

Good luck !

Certainly the cheapest feed I have found at £0.71/Kg!

Use it whole for barbel and carp or cut it up for smaller species.

Is it me....or a sign of the times? When you open up your link to that 'Dog' food Stephen, it lists all sorts of dietary information that people may require....if they were contemplating eating it themselves

Cheers, Dave.

If people saw what went into hot dogs they wouldn't eat them, let alone dog food

Stephen

You are right there Stephen. We had a Bowyers meat processing plant just down the road to us years ago, my missus worked there for a while. Pies, sausages, burgers...anything like that...you REALLY don't want to know what goes into them, if you value your sanity :D

Cheers, Dave.

hot dogs= emulsifyer, salted beef and pork off cuts, and a few other bits, all perfectly good for human consumption as is spam, luncheon meat ect ect

especially the tesco products.............yyyyyeeeee hhhaaawwwww :D

Some of these post's look a bit pony to me, but some had me laughing so much it made me horse

John...you are not mentioning what 'offcuts' means though, are you? Some of the 'offcuts' they had to eat in 'I'm a celebrity, get me out of here' would be deemed 'perfectly good for human consumption'....that doesn't mean you would actually WANT to eat them though, does it :D

Mind you....there are some who might  Better not get into that though :p:D

Cheers, Dave.

Watch vitalin , they have changed it over the last year or so plus bream love it
