Picture the scene

Picture the scene one double figure barbel in the net resting. A quick txting session to boast to a few mates. Then after 5 minutes in the margin bend forward to grasp the spreader to take my trophy to the top of the bank for weighing and photos.
SPLASH head first in to 4ft of Bristol Avon wetness lovely!
20 minutes to haul my rippling physique up a 6 foot slippery clay slope climbing on the roots.
No barbel in net.
Very expensive mobile soaking wet.

Be careful out there guys.....:(

Indeed.

Clive....PLEASE tell me there was a mate at the top of the bank videoing every second of it....and you are going to publish it soon :p

Sorry fella, I know it may well have been a very serious situation indeed....but...as it all ended well (or at least safely) then I have no option but to.....:D:D:D

Cheers, Dave.

Stick it in a load of rice, leave for a couple of weeks and they usually work again. My BB took a dip some time ago. I replaced it, but then was told of this trick. I was very cynical about it working, but thought it worth giving a go. It worked !!!

Hence the advice on other threads to store air dried boilies in dry rice....it sucks the moisture out of anything :D

Cheers, Dave.

Straight in a bag of rice the moment I got in. The first thing I remembered when I fell in was the mobile got it out chucked it up the bank. Then for the barbel but alas it was gone.:(

Hi men,

Iv spoke to people on the kennet this season who are really interested in the rope / steep banks fishing on the Teme . This season has been exceptional , very dry , you can get everywhere . BUT !!, come the rain , it's Alton Towers time !!.

Unlucky Clive :D , will bring our rope when we have a dabbe down there ;)
