Upper Bure today for a bit of drop shotting for perch. Very cold but bright. Realised why it was so quiet when 3 otters popped up nearby!!

My favourite winter barbel swim just above the the bush on the far bank casting over to the V in the ice. It is on the inside of a large bend. When in flood on top of the bank had some decent barbel.

A Wintery few hours on the Warks Avon yesterday in-between school runs. It was still minus 10 at 10am! Worth the effort with a plump mid double gracing my net. Lovely morning to be out.

My new best mate on the Wye today. He was sitting on my rod whilst I was float fishing and he even landed on top of my head once, I couldn't believe it !! He also caught more than me !!!

That’s amazing. I occasionally get them on my rods. Only ever got a picture once and that was cause I had my phone in my hand at the time. Never had one land on my head though lol

But there are a lot of sites which can host videos that you can link to, including Youtube
