I can remember fishing a couple of pegs down from there once under that big tree that overhangs the river and they started a duck shoot over there. I was covered in lead shot falling out the sky. Had a duck fly into my line as well and honestly thought my rod had snapped. The cracking noise it made was horrendous.

Kennet weir at dusk on Monday, flow from right to left but with extra water and debris I was essentially upstreaming in the back flow...and blanked.

the duck hunting is awful, dead ducks just floating downstream, I don't get it ?
