Pellet size.

3 nights now I’ve out fished a mate who’s using 8 year old Elisps pellets , he’s never been more than 100 yards from me downstream , I’m using a proven John Baker home rolled bolilie @Richard Isaacs thanks !
Yes they’ll catch on most days when they'll eat anything , but when there in a take it or leave it mood , a better fresher bait can make the difference .
You might just be a better angler Kevin?
If you’re confident and catching it makes sense to stick to it but ring the changes as and when
Me personally I’ve never benefitted from using on trend or miracle baits , I have a bait cupboard full of them
Hinders elips, sticky krill and the odd foray with some ancient Teme Severn liver & lamprey does me 99% of the time outside naturals
Just my opinion but I think size of bait is as important as flavour when it’s low and clear
