Paste recipe?

Following on from one of the other threads, I have always purchased my pastes. But since I am fishing more these days and it's getting a bit expensive, can anyone recommend a good recipe that I can make up at home without breaking the bank?

Scalded pellet makes one of the best pastes there is. You could add some dry crushed pellet to stiffen it if you wish. Try soaking pellets in oil and other natural attractors before you scald as these will leach out very well into the water once you’ve made your paste.

Bait companies base mixes will obviously make very good quality pastes and you can experiment with different liquids to make the pastes with too.

A couple of capfuls of vodka will improve pellet paste in the winter too, I cant see the above link because work blocks it, but if its Bill Rushmeer I can bet that booze is his top tip! Baileys works too.

Try a Forum Search Chris, there are loads of different recipes, from home made cheap and cheerful to expensive base mixes with exotic flavourings.

I've had success using some fishmeal based method mix groundbait I had lying about. Mixed with two eggs until I get the right consistency caught fish last winter.
