It may well be that Peter travels a lot for his work. When I was working I’ve delivered and collected tackle from all over drawing a line from The Wash over to Carmarthenshire. That was “ my patch” south of that line.

Exactly! I’ve dropped 30 quids worth of feeders off at peoples houses before 200 miles from my house when I’ve been on a job up the road.

Makes me laugh when people can’t be bothered to travel even an hour to pick up a rod. I’ve had people asking me to post rods to Luton and Peterborough

I agree! If they want the rod bloody have it, and do what's necessary to pick it up
I've travelled 6.5 hr round trips before now. If its what I want, I'll do whatevers needed.
