My best pair of D’s I might add…….
About 4 months ago I swapped over to a little rare pair of SS 850 tournaments for my Torrixs just to try them out and to be honest I’ve no intentions of looking back now.
However The D’s have been sensational, I’ve had them a number of years, they’ve caught a lot of big fish inc a couple of pbs and most importantly they have been religiously serviced every year.
This particular pair are my best two and there is not a single mark or scratch between them. They have had the absolute best care you could imagine and despite their age you’d think they were brand new. (Again my ocd)
If you don’t know much about them, it wasn’t that long ago when they simply commanded the barbel world as being the best you could get,
A light weight reel with a super clutch, and tones of leverage through that long solid stainless handle.
They are bomb proof in respect they share exactly the same internal design as the iconic 3500b and despite the small 4000 size they will crank big fish for fun…..
Perfectly matched up with barbel rods on the lighter and medium scale (1.5-2lb TC) a little too weighty for light avons and a little too light for flood gear imo.
What’s included is in the pics…..Each one has its own box which are getting a bit scabby now but functional.
You get original schematics and owners manuals.
You get the spool spacer washers that aren’t in use. Both sets in one little box. I have the spools set up for parallel line lay.
You obviously get the reels and you get a brand new never been used spare spool too.
Price is based on condition and current prices at the moment.
£90 each reel £20 the spool and £8 gets them sent with special delivery
£208 all in I think is quite fair.
