Otter park

David, I fully accept that Otters do damage to some fisheries; however both my posts on this thread relate to what I view as poorly written articles full of distorted facts and misinformation, none of which is helpful.*

Regards,

Neil

I know Neil, I am only pulling your leg fella. Everyone has their own axe to grind, and on both sides there is stroke pulling, misquoting, and things being taken out of context to boost folks own arguments...was it ever any different mate

I agree it is hard sometimes to see the wood for the trees. My own love for barbel and barbel fishing frequently leads me into saying things I later regret, and sometimes I have to admit that many of the points made by 'the opposition', if you like...have more than a little truth and logic to them. I just don't know the answer mate, and perhaps that's the problem in a nut shell...there is no one answer that will keep us all happy.

I guess we have to accept that otters are here, and here to stay. Sadly, I am certain that because of the parlous state of many of our rivers at this time, that means in many cases barbel fishing will become but a shadow of what it was. Whether that is fair...or just...or inevitable...I just don't know. What I DO know is that unlike many on this forum, I can NOT just take it laying down...it hurts WAY too much for that :(

Cheers, Dave.
