Online shopping

Hi men

With my local shop Browns shutting down I miss walking around picking up stuff and comparing bits . Yesterday I placed an order online falling foul to not having a face to face purchase . One item never showed up in my basket when I pressed buy , and another showed out of stock even though the money went through . I added the item missing but it took a second postage , so I emailed them . Nearest shop where I can walk round is a fair way off , or Angling Direct which IV never been to , time for a look 🫤

Never had a problem with online shopping, even with returns. Sadly it's the future for local vendors.

One of my local tackle shops failed to "go online" and do mail order and went under a few years ago. Another opened up, went online straight away and is doing quite well.

Angling direct get some stick for closing down local shops but my local AD is now a local employer with a couple of lads that used to work in local shops now working there. They provide local employment, as do Gooutdoors and you can get the hands on experience in both!

I've had good experiences with Glasgow angling, Johnson Ross, Total fishing, Billy Clarke, Veals and quite a few more.

Hi men

I'm maudlin over the loss of a lovely tackle shop that was near to me really 🫤 , it was a place I dropped into with no intention of buying, just looking , comparing 👍.
