OMC Revibed Imitation Worms

Anyone had a look at these? Obviously Mr Whiskers loves a worm, but as the barbel I fish for are generally nocturnal feeders, during the day I'm a big fan of dropshotting with worms. I've had double figure pike (lucky to land) and my biggest chub of 6.8lb came to dropshotting lobs. I have no doubt even a tricky barbel would take it (I guess like rolling meat the bait is in front of its nose and it goes for it as it gently moves away). Just thought I would ask if anyones used these, before I spend money on something that I'll use once and throw out in 6 months time.

Well to me I'd rather use a real worm than a fake one hence why I've got myself a wormery so I've always got a supply at hand. Real worms leave a scent trail and the constant wriggling action is definitely an attraction for fish. Fake worms might be a benefit on waters with crayfish though during the day with fish feeding on sight but I wouldn't be confident in there use at night as no scent trail being plastic. I could obviously be wrong as other's may say, just my 2p's worth.

I used the original Berkley version for quick trips squeezed in on the local canals. Thought they’d be great to keep in the car so i’d always have something to fish with for perch. Very realistic & have a scent but never really did very well on them so stopped using them (must admit i didn’t do very well with the drop shotting with any bait tbf! Found it soul destroying in the end) i’ve caught bream on them when tipped with a maggot and sure they’d be great to bulk out real worms on the hook but if you’ve got real worms, you may as well use them

I know people who had more barbel last year on creature and stick baits designed for perch than I did on normal Barbel baits.

But saying that, I like to keep my lures for perch only.

Thanks for all your replies. I might get a pack and give them a whirl. I don't have the room for a wormery so I just buy what I need from Angling Direct. So can be pricey but it is what it is. Theres a video of The Ginger Fisherman catching a nice 7lb barbel on a bunch of worms fished on (I think) a jig head. I'll try to find it and post it up as it's pretty spectacular stuff on a light set up.

It would be interesting if the fake worms could also soak in a flavour of choice, like some other imitation baits can.
