Proper stickfloats i.e. John Allerton Lignum sticks and all models made by Flagship Floats (Stan Bennett)!

Did anyone ever use a Newark Needle Float? I've got one somewhere but never tried to use it. I recently read an interview with the maker in an old Coarse Fisherman magazine and he put a hell of a lot of time and money into it. David Hall wasn't too impressed.

Yes, proper soft lead shot, that doesn't damage the line, in all sizes.
Before someone mentions swans, we haven't used lead for nigh on 20 years & we still get blamed for poisoning them!

Still use my 11' 2lb TC (Tony Fordham build) for heavy duty Tench and small pit (and margin) carping.yes to Sportex in its heyday..
I still have and use 2 Mitchell match reels with the finger dab bale arm. Which are used for my waggler fishing for Chub on the Upper Thames and after nearly 30 odd years of wear and tear are still going strong today
Just got one of these off my brother who no longer fishes, but when i turn the handle, the bail arm doesn,t engage properly, it only half closes, anyone know who might service such a reel. Thanks in advance, Derek.
