Wrote this some time ago when most lead weights were going to be banned and not many alternatives were available. Fortunately effective lead substitutes became more widely available over the years. Nothing really amazing apart from the date of the Anglers Mail article - 14th June 1986!
Just posted part of the article, but you should be able to get the idea.......
