Your region for you

I'm assuming this is The Barbel Society.

I'm a new member and in Yorkshire so will try to attend.

As an aside I haven't even had a magazine, nothing, since joining the BS. I know that's not your fault, Phill, but it doesn't look great. They didn't even send a mag out with my joining "pack" (a flyer for their book, a flyer asking me to join the BS and a handling code)

hi paul
ive made rob hilton aware of your questions and im sure
he will address them accordingly when he can get to his pc

p.s rob hasnt been very well of late and is recovering
from a operation and his work load as he has just started back

so dont panic

Hi Paul,

Thanks for your post.

The Society membership year obviously runs from June - June, and there are four publications published in the calendar year, consisting of two newsletters (mini-magazines) and two copies of Barbel Fisher.
This year has been tough - I've been laid up for a big part of it with a spinal problem which has thankfully now been resolved by surgery.
James is busy working on the next newsletter now, which should be with you in September. Barbel Fisher will follow in November, with another newsletter and magazine to follow in 2014.

Sorry you're disappointed you didn't receive last years benefits. If you drop me an email with your address at barbelnews@ntlworld.com, I'll send you a back issue of the magazine as a goodwill gesture or I can hand it over at the Yorkshire meeting if you'll be in attendance.
Hope to catch up with you next month, as Pip mentioned a few of us usually meet in the Wetherby Whaler for fish n chips. You'd be more than welcome.

All the Best

Rob

Hi Paul
As Rob says, as a full member, you will get two mags and two newsletters, but they will come in the next year; you just missed the last mag, out in May before you joined, but Rob will send or give you one at the meeting.
You will get a newsletter in September, a mag in December, another newsletter in March, and a second mag in May again, so a lot to look forward to, along with the other benefits.
Pip runs a really good region, and an excellent meeting is something else to look forward to!
Pete
