New Rod

I'm looking for a recommendation for a new rod for somebody new to Barbel fishing. Not too expensive, but good value for money. Ideally with dual top sections.

Daiwa Black Widow Specialist rod.. 1.75 solid top and a quiver section, look around and they go from £45 to £60..
korum do a twin top rod as Jeff has mentioned 1.75 and 2.2 solid tops, seem to be on average £65 to £70..
i had a waggle with the black widow in veals of bristol and it's a very slim blank and lightweight , felt ok too for the money.. haven't seen the new korum twin tops but if they are like the older korums then they would be excellent value for money...

I fish the smaller rivers mostly, so my rods are not designed for casting big leads.
I have a black widow which I like a lot, particularly in summer with the quiver top. But I picked up a second hand Free Spirit Tamer on BFW classified section. This is 11ft and 1.5tc plus a 2 oz tip and for small rivers like the Derwent it is ideal.
No knowledge of big guns.

Mainly the Dove, so something like the one suggested would be ideal

I've got a Grey's Prodigy Barbel Rod you can have for £40+pp if you're interested. 1.75lb TC and comes with two tops - normal and quiver + 3 quivertips. Had Barbel up to 16lb 2oz on it and it's a decent enough rod.

the early /older versions of these rods are superb , that particular model is also suited to the dove
