Guys,
Thinking of buying a new baitrunner reel and have been looking today at a shimano DL 6000 RA.
Anyone got one and any thoughts or other suggestions

Is that Alan 64? If so, good to see you on here pal ;)

I've got 2 GTE-C 10000s which i used on my barbel rods this season. I really like them and they didn't let me down. I think they are now discontinued and you can pick them up for a song (about £64.99 i think). I'm sure there are better shimanos but they seem like a good buy if you don't need the top of the range.

Thanks for the advice, I think a trip to the shops to look at one of these reels is in order before I commit.

I mainly want to use this on the Thames, Severn and Wye for feeder fishing at a bit of distance
